Need springs with more tension.

A handy person from Illinois says:
My lower window was recently replaced with new glass and now it will not stay up. The new window weighs 26.5 lbs. The existing 2 coils appear to be 8 lbs each. Options?

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

Your pivot shoe looks like our 15-180, which uses the Series 190 support coils. One 8 pound coil on each side would only support a sash weight of 16 pounds, so adding a 5 pound S190-540 to each side should support the weight of your new 26 pounds sash. Thanks for posting!
