These rollers are from a vinyl clad patio sliding door. The closest match I found was the 81-030. My part is 3 1/8" long, 3/4" wide, 1" tall, and the rollers are 1 1/4" diameter. (The 81-030 is 1 1/8" tall, but I don't think that will be a problem.) The main difference is my rollers are nylon.

Does this seem like a good match?

Hello,

Your photos resemble the 81-138 roller below, which we have recommended for parts similar to yours in the past. The dimensions match the ones you've provided but this roller is only offered with steel wheels. That won't prevent it from working as long as the dimensions match. Take a look and see what you think.

Thanks! The rollers on the 81-138 are 1-1/8", and mine are 1-1/4". Will that make a noticeable difference?

You could most likely make up for the difference by adjusting the height of the roller housing. If needed, we do offer the 1-1/4" diameter 81-228 nylon wheel and 81-310 axle kit that you could use to swap out the steel wheels.

Interesting. The height hadn't been my concern, but that's a good tip. I was thinking more about ease of use (I think I read that the larger the diameter is, the easier it is to pull. Do you think 1/8" would make a noticeable difference in effort to open/close?

Also, how easy are the rollers to replace? Do I need a drill press to remove the old ones and a hydraulic press to install the new ones?

Thanks for the quick answers!!

In our experience, the size of the wheel is not a determining factor in how the roller functions. This size should match to ensure that the roller is able to be installed and removed without getting stuck on the track.

See the video below that demonstrates the process or replacing roller wheels.
