Need to ID correct balances

Home Owner from Jupiter, FL
Saw a previous post where a customer had the same stamping as mine. For him you recommended 2960. Same for me?
Thanks - Bill

Hello, Bill! Due to the winged attachments, you can go with a Series 380 or Series 385 balance. The difference is shown below. Measure and choose S380-30 if you have the 1" shoe, or S385-30 if you have the 1-3/32" shoe.

"29 9" is a discontinued old code. We don't use it. To get around this issue, you need to weigh your window sash and measure the metal bar. It should measure 30", confirming the part numbers I mentioned above. If it's not 30", you'll need a different balance.

Once you settle on the balance you need, check the product description on the balance web page. That chart lists which stamp option to choose for the weight of your sash. It could be as high as 2960, or it could be a custom extra-heavy balance. Let us know if there is no option offered for your sash weight.
