Need to Identify Balance Rods
Hello, and thank you for contacting SWISCO. First, we will need to identify which Series of channel balances you require for your windows. This is determined by the shape and size of the nylon clips at the top and bottom of the balance rods.
From what you have told me, you have three different kinds of channel balances, all 30 inches long. Are the nylon clips on the end of the three kinds of balance rods identical? If so, we require one photo of the top nylon clip, as well as one photo of the bottom nylon clip. If not, we will need a photo of each different clip pairing (top and bottom).
The sash weights you gave us do not seem to correspond to the stamps you gave us. When it comes to channel balances, the stamp codes represent how much weight your balances can carry. Assuming their accuracy, your stamps can carry the following weight ranges:
- 29 2 carries 12 through 16 pounds.
- 29 3 carries 16 through 23 pounds.
- 29 4 carries 23 through 28 pounds.
This should help us point you towards the exact balance Series you need. Thank you.
