Need to fix surface mount handle / lock

Question

Attaching two pictures of handle and outside catch. Not sure of what latch and lock I need to repair. Part was lost. It was not a keyed lock - inside only lever lock.

If cannot get repair part, then need a kit to repair door so we can lock it again.

Please advise.

It sounds like you're missing the mortise lock. When you flip the thumb lever on the inside handle, that hook activates the mortise lock, which then engages with the keeper you show in your second picture. Is that correct?

We might be able to find something, but I'm not sure exactly what you need. Is there any way I can see a picture of the cutout where the mortise lock once was? Can you also give me your measurements of the cut out? Thanks!
