Per the subject line please identify what coil spring I need for a Simonton single hung window made in 2005 each side has a triple coil setup.
I already did order the
"6.5 lbs Series 160 Coil Balance" but I have a feeling it might not be the correct one.
One other piece of info the width of the spring coil is 0.4"Thank you.
Thanks for posting. The Series 160 Coil Balances are 1/2" wide, while the Series 165 are 3/8" wide. It sounds like you might have the Series 165, but double-check the width of your old coil tape to be sure. Now, it looks like you have the #4 stamped on your balances, in which case you'd need either the S160-4 or S165-4. But if you're uncertain about the exact spring weights you need, give us the exact weight of the window sash, and we'll work out what you require. Many thanks.
