Need to replace locking system on sliding glass door

The first lock to come to mind is our 82-218. This looks almost identical at first glance... however I note that the slot that accepts the tail cylinder is at a 90 degree angle on yours. The slot on our 82-218 is at a 45 degree angle. I'm not sure if yours is by design or if it's just broken. Would you be able to confirm for me?
