Need to replace my channel balance

Home Owner from Portland, oregon
I did not find any stamp and the only identifier I found was the 14 5 KR Caldwell, which I'm told by your forums isn't helpful. The length of the rod without the attachments is 15 inches long.

Thanks for posting! The stamp is helpful, but it only tells us the calibration of your spring. As for the Series itself, I have narrowed it down to two possibilities: our S380-15 or S385-15. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the shoe, so if you measure that and refer to our dimensions then you should be able to determine the best choice. I'm personally leaning towards the S380-15, which has a 1" deep shoe, but see what you think.

Thank you. The depth of the shoe on my channel balance was 1 inch. I noticed there were a few options on which balance to buy 1430, 1440, and 1450. I'm guessing I would choose the 1450, based on the calibration stamp, is that correct?

Do I need to buy anything else other than the channel balance to make it work?

Thank you for your time.

Yep, a stamp of 14-5 almost always corresponds to our 1450 option. You can always weigh your sash and refer to the chart on the S380-15 store page to confirm, but I think it'll be fine.

As long as nothing else is broken on your window then you should be able to reuse everything else.

We're happy to help, of course. Thank YOU for considering us for your business and please let me know if you have any questions.
