Need vinyl window spiral balances

Firstly I would like to complement you on your site. It's a joy to use. I am cursed with home center stock vinyl tilt single hungs that were in the house when i bought it. I nearly herniated myself trying to open them so I've removed the operating sashes, cleaned everything, adjusted the spiral balances, soaped the areas where they slide and they still don't slide easy. Am I missing something?
