Spindle in old handle seems to be stuck. Is there a fix for this or should I get a new spindle? Any suggestions?

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would like to see the rest of your handle set and confirm the distance between the installation holes to determine if we carry anything that could work as a replacement. Thank you!

Why is the spindle not coming loose?
Here are the additional pieces of the locking mechanism.

Removing the spindle in your old handle can be quite a challenge. I've removed these handle spindles in the past. From what I remember, there is a small drive pin that keeps this spindle secured in the handle. You might need to cut off the existing handle to get to the pin or use a small center punch to knock out the existing pin.

All pins (2) have already been removed. I think all that's left is to cut it loose. Will let you know how that works out! Thanks!

Also, you could try to tap off the handle using a flat-blade screwdriver and hammer. That might make the process easier. Make sure to lock the spindle into a bench vise and use the screwdriver and hammer to tap off the handle.
