New Balances but window difficult to open and close

Question

CRL part FA3150 sash balances with winged ends have been installed but window is difficult to open and close. The window is heavy measuring over 40 inches wide and 35 inches high.

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see your balance fully removed from the window, including both winged fittings and the clip at the end of the pulley cord, to narrow down your options. If you're concerned that the balances may not be calibrated correctly to support the window, we would also need to know the exact weight of the sash to determine the corresponding strength options for our balances.
