New Take out clips for vertical vinyl windows
Thanks so much for reaching out to us. This appears to be the old Milgard take out clip. We don't sell this exact piece, but we sell the 16-035A which has been known to work in all the same applications. Look it over and let me know if you agree, or if you had any questions.

Sure! What you want to do is slip the bottom of 16-035A first in the hole and swing it up to lock the top piece in the opening. That should be all that's required.
I've purchased the clips, but unfortunately, they are too big for the opening. Even when I was able to jam a few in, they were much too snug to engage the necessary feature without breaking them.
With a slightly smaller version, I'd be able to save a lot of money on window repair/replacement. Is there another version worth trying?

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. I'm afraid we don't have an alternative version of this clip, but I can try to look into it for you. Can you kindly give me the exact size of your original? Please write the size out in your response as precisely as you can manage. A photo of a tape measure will not be sufficient in this case.
