New Window Balance Needed

Home Owner from Indinapolis, IN
Hello,

I am looking to replace my spring window balances. I am not sure which ones I need. I sent pictures of what I have now. The code on there says DB G03 27B, which I've been unable to interpret fully. 27B I've figured means a 27" metal channel and B represents a weight rating, but I'm still wanting your guidance of what to buy.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim.

Thanks for posting! Yes, you are correct. The 27B from your balance is the stamp used to determine the weight range the balance can support.

There is a really good chance we can provide you with a suitable replacement for the balances you have here but I'll need to see a photo of the other compatible hardware to identify it. Since this is a tilt window, there is likely to be a shoe/attachment connected to the bottom of the sash. This is the piece of hardware I'll need to see to confirm the exact balance you have.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have.
