New handle for 82-035 mortise-round face

Question

Will the Handle Set #82-035 work with our existing #82-263 Mortise Lock? Or do we have to order a different Mortise Lock in order to use Handle Set #82-035? If #82-263 Mortise Lock does not work with Handle Set #82-035 and we have to replace the lock, then which Mortise Lock would you recommend?

(In a nutshell, we have an approximately 1.3/4" thick wood-patio door with a 3-15/16" Handle Set. And we would like replace just the handle set and keep our existing #82-263 Mortise Lock.)

Based on the design of your old handle, I think our 82-035 should be compatible with your door. The 82-263 mortise is an older design that isn't used much anymore, but I think you'll be okay.
