New window sash

Quick Learner from Redding, CA
Hello. In the photos you'll see a marking on the broken sash of 20 9 28# ED Caldwell. The sash broke one day when I opened the window. The two sashes hold a vertical vinyl window. The viny window dimensions are approximately 46" wide X 24" tall (in case you need to calculate a weight.) The pictures at the website look so similar. So we could use your help to buy 2 new sashes. Thank you.

When I say vertical, I mean that the window opens up and down (vertically), as opposed to a horizontal slider.

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380 or S385 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.

You'll also need to weigh your sash to determine which option you'll need. There is a chart on the product page that explains how to choose your option based on the sash weight. Thank you!

Our channel bottom measures 1 1/16" per our photos that we sent. I did double check to be sure, it appears it still does measure 1 1/16". So what size should we order?  The weight of the bottom window that it holds up is 26.7 pounds.

As long as the shoe is over 1" deep, your best bet would be to fo with the S385-21 (2050) balances since the shoe can wear down a bit over time.
