No cut out in the track

Question

Hello. my window was installed in 1998 & does not have a cutout in the window track. How do I remove that entire assembly? Do I cut the track? With what tool? That would be CHOPPY. Which spring should I purchase? Do I need the entire assembly? Please help. Thank you. Ali .(just in case)

Thanks for reaching out to us. You'll have to make a cut out in the window track to remove your old hardware. As shown in the video below, we use a utility knife and snips.

The 15-087 looks like a match for your old shoe. The S180 (sold separately) are the compatible springs. You only need to replace what's broken when it comes to coil balance systems.
