Channel Balance and Pivot Bar

Question

The channel that the wedge or shoe rests in (see item C-Bottom), is approximately 1 3/8".  The bottom sash is 29 7/8" by 32 3/8" wide.  Frame opening is 32 1/2".  The channel that both sashes sit in is 58 1/4" high.

Thanks for posting. Looks like you have an old block & tackle rod balance. These are no longer made, but you can replace your particular balance with one of our Series 775 Channel Balances. To know which one to select, you will need to remove your old balance from your window and measure the length of the metal channel (not including the end attachment). To know which stamp option to select, you will need to weigh your window sash. That precise weight can be matched with a corresponding stamp option. You will also need to measure the size of the c-shaped attachment.

If you need to replace your pivot bar as well, take a look at either the 26-241 or 26-021 to start; but ultimately this will depend on the hole placement. Compare the dimensions with your old parts and see what you think is best.
