Thanks for posting. This might be a bit tricky. To start, take a look at our 70-048 Malta Screen Frame Latch. Carefully go over the dimensions to see if this matches your old latch. Honestly, it won't be surprising if you find it doesn't match. Malta changed their screen clips before they went out of business, and now all their hardware is rather hard to come by. We've had many customers with latches that look just like yours report that the 70-048 didn't work out for them. If that's the case, you might want to try converting to a pull ring with sill nail clip. See our 70-004 and 70-013 to start out; this pull ring type is "screened" onto the frame. You also could consider our 70-2055 pull ring which clips onto the bottom of the screen frame. The nails are mounted into the window sill for the pull rings to clip into. Consider either alternative and let us know what you think.

A home owner from Lovettsville, VA says:
The 70-004 certainly would fit the screen. However, on my Malta windows, the ball head screw would have to be mounted through fiberglass cladding into the wood of the frame. That's a sure way to eventually allow water to get under the cladding and rot to set in. It might be possible to install the 70-004 on the side of the screen, rather than the bottom, if it would allow enough clearance for the top sash to be lowered completely. Sealing against water entry probably would be easier to do on a vertical surface than a horizontal surface. Do you know if anyone has tried that approach?
