No tilt spirals

Quick Learner from USA

I'm trying to install a new spiral balance into an aluminum frame, non-tilting window. I already have the balance, but the bracket that it hooks to at the bottom is broken. I need to either replace it or find an alternate bracket that I can attach to the bottom of the sash

Thanks for writing in! I'm sorry to say that I would not be able to identify the bracket you need from the photos provided. You'll need to remove them to confirm which bracket is the best possible replacement for your sash.

The sash is not designed to be removed, and removing them can be a pretty huge project. Unfortunately, it will require partial disassembly of the window frame itself. It is highly, highly recommended to have a local professional perform this repair.

In the meantime, our selection of non-tilt window spiral balance brackets and sash clips can be viewed, here.
