Thanks for writing in! It appears the internal mortise lock on the patio door is broken. If both hooks are not popping out and retracting simultaneously, it is likely because the hardware is damaged on the inside of the locking mechanism. That said, you'll need to replace it.

Your mortise lock appears to be the 82-238 Double Hook Mortise Lock. To confirm that this is the right fit, carefully look over the dimensions and compare them to your hardware.
