Non Tilt Part#3330 Sash Balance

A home owner from So. California says:
Please help identify proper balance for vinyl single open vertical window. Channel width is ~5/8". The channel length from metal to metal measures 34" but markings say #3330. Open and close these kitchen windows many times so these balances have been replaced multiple times. The strings in the pulley system seem to break rather than springs or other mechanism.

Do I need stronger springs or?

Will want to place order for 3 pairs or more.

Thank you,

Cara H.

Greetings Cara and thanks for reaching out to us. We offer two balances that may work in place of your current balance: our S380-34 and S385-34. The only difference between these two balances is the depth measurement of the bottom balance shoe. The depth of the shoe for the Series 380 is 1" and for the Series 385, it's 1-3/32". You will need to measure the depth of your bottom shoe, like in the diagram below, to determine which balance is the better match. Whichever one chosen will go with the 3330 option.
