Can't tell if these are the 371 or 385 and would either model work? From a 2003 build home

Hello there. No, these models are not interchangeable. Is this the same top on all your balances? Check the other balance from this window, or from an identical or similar window in the house. If so, see if it matches the top attachment used in the Series 371. See below:
