I need help figuring out which non-tilt channel balance I need. It's stamped 1600 and the metal part is 17 1/4"
I previously purchased this for different windows in the house and it's the right thing for the type of window, but this one is smaller.

I think we can help, but you'll have to do a little more measuring, too. It looks like either our S380-17 or S385-17 balance could be a match. Just measure the width of the bottom plastic shoe. If it measures 1", you'll need a Series 380, but if it measures 1-3/32", you'll need the Series 385. Hope this helps!
Thanks. It's 1-3/32" when I order it asks if I want option 1610, 1620 etc. this part is marked 1600. Which would I choose?
1600 is kind of a weird stamp. It's likely that your balance uses an outdated rating system. I recommend weighing your sash on a scale and referring to the chart shown on the S385-17 store page. That will tell you exactly what you need.
