I need help identifying what counter balance I need for my non tilt bathroom window. The counter balances are missing. Is there a way to determine via measurements of the window and frame?

Thanks for your help.

Thank you. We still may be able to help, though I can't guarantee it. First, is there an identical or similar window in the house with the balances still intact? If so, please remove a balance and show us clear photos of the nylon attachments on both ends. Next, please tell us the height of visible glass in the bathroom window. Finally, please tell us the exact weight of that window sash. From there we may be able to narrow down possible replacements.

I was wrong. The balances were there. I removed them but they are a bit damaged from the ordeal. I am including a few photos and a measurement and weight of the active window.

Active window :
23 1/2"h by 33 1/2" w
Weight 29lbs
2150d stamped on balance

Thanks for these photos, this is definitely putting us on the right track. However this one is still too damaged to ID. I specifically need a clear shot of the nylon attachments on either end, but here I only see one of them. Would it be possible to see a close up and clear view of both?

Left photo of one end. Middle and right photo of the other end. Needed two photos because I damaged the end.

Thank you. I've narrowed it down to two possible replacement options, but the difference between them is dependent on the very part that broke on your balance: the depth of the bottom shoe. If you aren't able to measure an undamaged shoe, then it won't be possible to determine the better replacement.

The two balances in question are our S351-22 and S390-22. The S351-22 has a 1" deep shoe and the S390-22 has a 1-1/8" deep shoe. That is the only difference between them and measuring them is the only way to confirm the better option.

I must stress that this is an essential step and cannot be skipped or circumvented.
