Non tilt window channel balance

Quick Learner from Florida
I have a window that measures 58x32. There are 2 different size balances when I took the bottom sash out. I don't know which one is the correct size? In one of the pictures I measured from the bottom of the window to the top of the bottom sash. I also measured the width of the side jamb to make sure I had the right width for the channel balance? I apologize if I'm not using the correct terminology as I'm not sure. The take out clips are broken so I need to replace them as well. I also attached a picture of the plastic piece that looks to be broken at the top of the bottom window sash as well. So my question is what size channel balance will I need?

We can help you find the replacement parts you need. We need to see the entire balance showing both nylon attachments. Could you send us some additional photos showing the entire balance?

Yes, thank you. I'd say you have either the Series 380 or Series 385, depending on the depth of the shoe. This would be the "heel to toe" measurement. If the depth is 1", you want our Series 380. If it's 1-3/32", you want our Series 385 instead.

Make sure to account for wear when you measure. What I mean by that is that the depth on your shoe may be a little less than it once was.

But what length do I need? One is 28" and the other is 29". How do I know which is correct?

I'm sorry, I was so preoccupied by your pictures that I overlooked that part of your post. I had assumed these came out of two different windows. My apologies for the confusion!

What you can do is measure the height of the visible glass of the sash. The height of the visible glass should be 1" less than the length of the balance. I would wager it's either 28" or 29" tall. If it's 28", go with the 29" long balance. If it's 29", go with the 30" long balance.
