Non-tilt window channel balance part inquiry

A quick learner from 92691 says:
Metal channel is 24 inches long
Stamp says 23-3 02 13 VBS

Window is very hard to open, feels heavy. Spring and cord on channel balance are not broken/impaired. Do you recommend replacing?

Hello there. Were these the original balances in the window? In any event, that stamp code might be the same as our stamp option of 2330, which might be too weak for your window; this option designates a balance that can support a window in the weight range of 15 through 18 lbs, so your sash is really on very upper limit. These appears to be S395-24 balances. If the window weighs 18.5 lbs, I'd feel better with a stamp option of 2340, which is for a sash in the weight range of 18 through 23 lbs.
