Non tilt window channel balances and top sash guides

A home owner from NJ says:

Hello,

I would like to request your help in identifying my non-tilt window parts. I have two different height size windows (with same width) that have exact the same type of channel, just different lengths.

The 19" inch long channel has a stamp of "18 4 II" with a 1/2" channel width and bottom shoe measures 7/8" deep. The other channel measures 28 3/8" long and has a stamp of "27 1/2 3 JI" with a 1/2" channel width and bottom shoe measures 7/8" deep. Their top sash guides are identical. The house was built in 1990 and I'm assuming these have never been replaced.

Thank you, your time is much appreciated! Jessica

Thanks for reaching out to us! We can supply these balances, but they will each have to be custom made since they use the 7/8" deep 15-029 shoe. Additionally, the "28 1/2 3" stamp balance is extra special because of its size. Can you just confirm the length of the metal channel? It should only be 28-1/2" long based on that stamp.

Can you also tell me how many of each size you needed?

A home owner from NJ says:

Hi Tom,

Thank you for getting back to me. I measured again, and yes it's 28-1/2". I included a photo of the shoe with the measuring tape. It's reading 7/8", but not sure if this is a different size in industry measurements. Below are the all the details:

2 qty. of 19" length, stamp 18 4 II, 1/2" width channel, 7/8" bottom shoe (see photo if this is correct)

10 qty. of 28 1/2" length, stamp 27 1/2 3 JI, 1/2" width channel, 7/8" bottom shoe (see photo if this is correct)

What's the cost of custom made? I also need top sash guides for each.

Thanks for your help! Please let me know if you need any more information.

Hello again! This information is perfect, thank you so much for being so thorough!

We can definitely supply each balance as a custom order. What I'll do now is email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to add each size to your cart. You can then checkout as normal.

For the top sash guide in your second batch of photos, I would recommend the 18-124P.

Please let me know if you had any other questions.

A home owner from NJ says:

Hi Tom,

You're most welcome and thank you for putting together the custom order. Could you please edit the 28305 Channel Balance (28 1/2" length channel) to be 4 quantity? Given the price, I'll just fix two windows at the moment, and will buy the rest later. The 1840 is fine, I'll buy that as it's set.

Thank you!
