Non-tilting Window Balance Part ID

Hi,
I am replacing several window balances, just wanted to confirm part ID before ordering. Channel length (not including shoes) is 26" and width is 9/16". Bottom shoe depth is 1 1/8" and stamp code is 26-4. I am looking at the 26" Series 390 Channel Balance, does the stamp code correspond to 2540 order code? Thank you for your time.

Hello there. Based on the information this does look like an S390-26. It's unusual for a 26" balance like this to have a stamp starting in '26'; likely the original supplier building the windows cut the balances he had down to size to fit your window. The 2640 stamp does not necessarily translate to 2540. To figure out what stamp option you should pick, weigh the window sash these balances support. You can use that weight to choose the right stamp option.
