This part is called a tilt latch. We may be able to get this to you, but before I can begin my search I need a bit more information. To start, can you give me the distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center? Can you also show me an undamaged version?

A quick learner from the villages florida says:
I will go measure it today. Thank You.
A quick learner from the villages florida says:
the distance is 2 inches between screws and about 1 inch across

We have a top tilt latch that might work for you. Look at and compare our 26-435 to your part. It is 7/8" wide and the screw holes are 2" apart. This appears to be our closest match.
