Notch on the 70-195 pin

Why the dimple have way up the pin?  Is there a version that is free of the dimple?

I believe the "dimple" is only there to create a friction in the screen frame, allowing the frame to hold the pin in position. Take a look at the 70-009 Plunger Pin, this may be what you're looking for.
