Nudor Sliding Glass Door

A quick learner from 43560 says:
Hi, I am trying to save a very large, very oldm sliding glass door that has one set of tandem rollers that have failed. On the handle it says Nudor on it so i am assuming that is the brand. This roller set sat in a pocket and from what I can tell, may not be original to the door. Hard to believe it was resting on the flathead screw. The rollers are 1-1/8 in diameter x about 5/16 wide. I am not opposed to a llittle modification if that would get the job done. Let me know what you think.

Hello,

We'd like to help but, unfortunately, we do not carry anything like the rollers in your photos. I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.

A quick learner from El Cerrito says:

You say that you believe your patio door is by "Nudor" by the name on the handle. We did carry a roller by Nudor  at one time, but it is now discontinued. There's also no telling whether it's what you have now, especially since ours had a single concave wheel, unlike the part shown earlier in this thread.

The only patio door rollers we carry with "flat" wheels like what's shown in the photos above are the 81-151 and the 81-011, but the design is so different that I cannot verify whether they'll work. I am not optimistic.

These are very old doors and to be perfectly honest I'm not certain how the rollers were meant to be removed. If I were you, I would contact a local professional to come out and do the job for you. It may be quite the project.

A distributor from Florida says:

These are the very old style

Nudor rivet bearings.

To remove them you have to grind down the back of the rivet on the back of the metal housing and then the rivet pops right out. Then you attach the new bearing that has the rivet already attached to it.
