I have 3 windows with inoperable balance rods. I have been told I have obsolete rods.

Thanks for writing in! I am confident that we can supply you with the replacement balances you need. Although, there is a chance these may need to be a custom assembly. With that said, I'll need to confirm a few details to determine the best possible replacement.

To start, may I see a clearer photo of the bottom shoe? It would help to see a photo of an undamaged shoe to make the most accurate recommendation. Please also confirm the width of your balance channel.

Once I have this information confirmed, we can move forward from there.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have in the meantime.

What is the bottom shoe?

The shoe is the white plastic piece attached to the balance channel.

The rod width is half inch. I don't have a shoe that isn't broken. It's 1 and 1 quarter inch

Our S795-32 with a 32C stamp should work well to replace your balances. However, I cannot make any guarantees that the 15-195 T-Lock Shoe these balances are assembled with would be a good fit. There are multiple styles of this shoe and without an undamaged version of the shoe, there would be no way to verify the correct replacement.

Also, I did notice that there is a hook at the top of your balance. If the installation hole at the top of the window, where this hook would connect to, is square in shape, you'll be able to use the 26-200 balance screw plug. If it is any other shape, these will need to be a custom made assembly. Take a look at the video below for more information.
