Nylon balance shoes broke in half

A handy person from PA says:
I have Simonton Double Hung windows. A few of the nylon balance shoes have broken in half at the bottom of the shoe where it cradles the metallic pivot.

Can the shoes be replaced by themselves, or is it necessary to replace the entire balance/spring/shoe assembly?

Thanks for writing in. These Pivot Shoes resemble our 15-192; take a look and see what you think. Keep in mind though that your old pivot shoe might have a metal cam with a slightly different shape. If so, I recommend you swap out the old cams and put them into the new 15-192 shoes.
