Nylon screen door roller

Handy Person from Honolulu
Part number 84-016. I am having the hardest time trying to get this roller connected to the corner bracket. I'm supposed to use a circular arc motion to get the two holes on the end of the roller into the ears of the corner bracket. The instructions say this is an easy installation but it is far from easy. Do I need a special tool or do you have any suggestions?

Sometimes these are difficult to install. You can remove the corner key from the door, install the wheel directly to the corner and then reinstall both together at the same time.

I also find this hard to install. Personally, I use a small blade slotted screw driver and a pair of long nose pliers. I use the screwdriver to spread the housing so that it will slip over the die cast corner tips.

Thanks for both replies. I have since figured it out after breaking one ear of the corner bracket. Like you said I also used a slotted screwdriver, actually it was a small chisel and pushed it up. But it's also good to know that I can install it on the corner first and then install it on the frame. Many thanks to both of you, Mahalo.
