Odd Screen Door Wheel Replacement

Quick Learner from USA
I called a Swisco.com rep on the phone about the odd size, terribly constructed screen door wheels that I would like to replace.

Attached are photos of the wheel and dimensions.

The wheels are supporting 11' high by 60" wide screen doors that were manufactured using Schuco extrusions.

The base of the housing can be longer than 1 ?" but cannot be much wider than ?". I might be able to use ¼" but no more is preferable. There is not much wiggle room for more height than 1 ?".

The location is close enough to the ocean that salt corrosion is an issue.

If there is a spring loaded option it would be better at keeping the doors on the track.

I have also attached a photo of the house that the screen doors are a part of.

Hello!

We don't have an exact match for this but I'm going to have one of our senior experts take a look and see if they could recommend a replacement for you. We'll reach out as soon as more information is available.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, your roller was discontinued and is no longer available. However, take a look at our 84-074B spring loaded roller. I took one out of stock to check the height with the adjustment screw removed. When I squeezed the wheel up into the housing the height was 1-1/4" tall.

It has a spring in the housing to keep the roller on the track, but I found the spring has some tension to it. You might want to remove it. Anyway, if the height will work for you this roller has two holes in the upper housing which you could use to mount the roller in the screen door.  I can't promise this will work but take a look and see what you think.
