Offset on 39-032

I also have a separate issue. The 39-032 part I ordered does not quite fit. Everything about it is correctly sized for my Crestline 1990s windows; HOWEVER, the short arm piece bumps down instead of bumping up. That makes it not work. This was not something I could see online after researching the part needed. I have attached photos of this as well (old part and new part). I am unsure what part will work, or if the parts I need are even available. If you could connect me up with someone who can help me with this, I would appreciate it.

Hello there. We've come across this issue before. Unfortunately they don't make this operator with that type of offset anymore. In our experience however, you should be able to guide the link arm into the bracket and pop it in. My senior colleague who's worked with loads of these windows has done this on many occasions in the past. Let me know if you can do this, or if you have any further questions.

My contractor told me it can be installed but that it scrapes.

They used to make these operators with an offset like yours, but they changed the design some years ago so that the offset only goes one way and they got rid of the older version. I can usually get the arm to bend down so that if the detach clip comes off, the link arm will still stay attached to the sash bracket. I find it works perfectly well. Either way, it's the only option we can provide. They just don't make them like yours anymore.
