Old Window Crank

I have 3or4 broken window operators and the PanAm/Daryl crank seems to line up closest. Mine have 2 15/16" link arms with 1/4"threaded holes and only one hole at the top right of center. I may be able to drill a 3/8" hole in the corresponding window arm and use a 3/8"shoulder screw. Will this work or will the shorter link arm be a deal breaker? Any other suggestions?

Before we get into customizing a repair solution. Why don't you upload some pictures of your operator - we may be able to find a replacement operator that is closer to your original one.

Had some difficulty uploading pictures but I hope you can see them.

Have you taken a look at the 39-350 awning window crank yet? This crank operator may be a closer match to your original operator.

Have looked at the Russco 39-350. The main difference is that my old operator has a 2-15/16" (almost 3")link arm vs the Russco which has a
2-7/16"(less than 2-1/2") link arm. Will the shorter link arm on the Russco work?

The shorter link arm "should not" cause a problem, but its hard to have a definite answer without actually trying it. Just to make to sure the measurement is clear, the 2-7/16" link arm dimension is measuring from hole center to hole center and not the whole link arm.
If all the other dimensions of the 39-350 match up to your original operator, the 39-350 will the be closest replacement you will be able to find to your original.

You're right, I was not measuring from center to center. The link arm is the same length. I'll be ordering the Rusco 39-350. Thanks for your help!

Yes! The Rusco 39-350 fit perfectly. I installed two of them.
