Old aluminum door with 3.5" CTC holes and offset mortise

Handy Person from 61036
Hi there, I moved into an older house, built in '65, recently. It does not have a sliding glass door handle, and I can't find one that fits the door.

The door has mounting holes about 3.5 inches apart, and has an offset mortise lock system. Do you have any handles or other products that would work in this door?

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam. See if the mortise lock matches our 82-218. If so, handle sets with 3-15/16" hole spacing like our 82-030 could work with it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Bob, handle sets with 3-15/16" won't work, because the hole centers are only 3-1/2" apart. The three and a half inch spacing in the door frame really seems to limit which parts I can use.

Hi Sam. If the mortise lock is indeed our 82-218, then modern handle sets that work with it all have 3-15/16" hole spacing. You will have to drill new holes to mount a handle set like our 82-030. Apologies for any inconvenience.
