Old and broken hardware

A handy person from Philadelphia says:

Hi, my son purchased a new home with old replacement windows where none of the windows stay open.

All are double hung and the bottoms tilt out. We took a couple apart and they have the same problem... old plastic parts have rotted and broken in various ways. Found your site based on a patent number Pat #5737877 which shows some promise.

In many of your images and videos our mechanism is upside down from your videos. I'm assuming that doesn't really matter too much and it seems like your S795-22 would work. We'd need to add some Pivot bar 26-021 to replace what we have I think.

With our old parts I measured the 22" without the plastic piece as shown in photo IMG-9865.jpg. Is that the correct size?

I'm assuming that IMG-0864.jpeg means that we'd need to get those old parts out of the channel. Open to suggestions on how best to extract it.

Hello,

The old-style crossbow balance in your photos is no longer available but many customers have been able to replace them with our S770 channel balance and 15-135 pivot shoe.

As for your pivot bar, I suspect you may need something like our 26-368 that has been know to work with the 15-135 pivot shoe shown in your photos. I'd recommend removing one of yours from the window and comparing the dimensions to the ones listed on the 26-368 product page to confirm. Thank you!
