Older Awning Window Operator Replacement

Question

The Awning Window operators that I need match the Stanley 39-058 in all dimensions except the extension arm. It measures approximately 2 1/2 and is only minimally offset. The 39-058 arm is 2 3/8 and is off-set a bit more. Do you think the Stanley 39-058 will work, or is there another Operator that you would recommend?
There are no other identifying markings on the windows or operator parts. (The house was built in the late 1980's and renovated in 2004 after a hurricane. This occurred before I owned the house so I'm not sure if the windows are originals from the late 80's or newer from 2004. I suspect they are original 80's, though.)

We can't determine what might work for you without seeing detailed photos of your operator uninstalled. With that being said, the length of the link arm is not generally a deal breaker since there is a good amount of play in the gears to compensate.
