One side not attached - so there is tension on one side only (the side with the string attached)

Image 1648 shows the string attached to the part that the window pin rides with. The opposite does not have the string attached. I suppose it broke away or something similar.

I need the solution to having the string attached and how would this be installed.

Can you tell me who the window manufacturer is?

Thank you

Dave

Hi there Dave. Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to say we don't sell a replacement for the balance shown here nor do we know the manufacturer of the window. Your best bet may be a local mom and pop type shop who are familiar with windows in your area. I sincerely apologize that we can't be of help with this repair; please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.

Hi Emily , A lot has come to light in the past day. The manufacturer is Marvin. I thought there was a string there, but there's no string. It's just the clutch and I need to pull that window sash out and see if it's damaged. Would you be able to sell a clutch for a Marvin window? Thank you, Dave.

Oh, I see. I'm afraid we don't sell the clutch you're looking for. Unfortunately, Marvin has exclusive rights to their hardware and won't let us supply. You would have to contact a Marvin dealer directly. Apologies that we can't be of more help and best of luck with the repair.
