Opening gap question

how much will the drawer open on a 12 inch slider the one I have now only opens 4 inches I can't see in the drawer

Good question. The 32-223 slider extension comes out at 6-1/2" past the track base which is mounted to the cabinet. I would suggest checking the track you presently have to see if you can "re-mount" the drawer with it coming out farther from the cabinet.
