Thanks for contacting us, Charlie. I'm not sure what operator you need, exactly. I would have to see a few pictures of yours fully removed from the window and with detailed dimensions. In the meantime, you can browse through our Replacement Window Operator section and see if you can find a match.

Yes, very often you will have to remove the wood trim to get at the operator.

Yes, they're a good start. It's a bit hard to say for sure without better shots of the arms, though. I can just about make them out in the top image. That may be enough.

Take a look at our 39-031 & 39-032. Could these work for you as replacements?

What numbers from the operator do you need.I have just taken off the operator off so I can see all the numbers. As you look face down on the operator top left is #3 top right is #40471 left middle #23 right middle #90.On the arms off the crank #30842r then on other part of the arm #20810.Also on one arm entrygard truth. This opens up to the left are their different numbers for windows that open up to the right.(inside facing out)I had to take this operator off because I had to replace the bottom sash there is nothing wrong with this operator, but I will have to replace three other operators that open up to left and right.Do you need the numbers off the broken operators.Sorry this e mail is so long. This whole thing is driving me crazy.Charlie

Hey Charlie. The numbers are good to know, but what's more important right now is seeing the arms. You only show the base in the pictures above, and that's only half the operator!

Do you think your operator matches our 39-031 & 39-032? Do they have the same arms, or are they different? You should also compare the dimensions we show on our site with your hardware and let me know if they're the same. If not, tell me where they differ.

Hey, Charlie. If your handles and covers are in good condition, I see no reason why you have to replace them. These operators are replacement parts, and you can look at our Return Policy for more information.
