Operator or hinge

Quick Learner from USA
I was sending parts of my operator but a Swisco rep said I might really need a hinge.
What do you say?

Hello,

Take a look at the video below showing the two Encore operator pairs that we carry. The style of the track slide at the end of the long arm is the determining factor.

If the broken piece is actually part of the hinge, take a look at the 36-048 hinge set. Just keep in mind that it is important to replace the top and bottom at the same time. Thanks for posting!

The top picture of the part that says pry to remove sash is what was pulled out and everything at the bottom was bent when the sash wasn't supported at the top.

If the top hinge was released or damaged, causing the bottom hardware to bend, then you may want to replace both hinges and the operator to be safe. Keep in mind that you only need to replace the parts that are damaged.

In that case, you are welcome to purchase the 36-048 hinge set with the correct Encore operators depending on which pair shown in our video matches your assembly.
