Our windows won't stay up.

Quick Learner from Branson, Mo

I inquired about this once before and I think it asked for the weight of the sash. These are fairly large windows. I do not know how to weigh the sash. We previously ordered from you. maybe this will help identify our windows because there are no numbers that I can see.

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to say that we would not be able to identify the windows using the parts you've purchased previously. While the part may have a brand associated with it, that does not mean that is the manufacturer of the window you have. We carry a lot of parts in our inventory that are compatible with multiple different brands.

It appears that the channel balance is broken, which is the reason the windows will not stay up.

To recommend the proper replacements, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance, removed from the window. I am specifically looking to see any attachments that could be connected to the balance or that may still be in the window channel, connected to the bottom of the sash.

The stamp on the metal channel is what indicates the weight range your balances should be able to carry to support the weight of the sash. Since there are no stamps on the balance and you do not know what the window weight is, you'll need to obtain the weight using a scale.

Let me know if you have any questions.
