Thanks for posting! Yes, I believe this handle is all metal.

Are you referring to a spindle from our website? If so, the spindle compatible with part 40-051 is part 40-038.

If you are referring to your existing spindle, unfortunately I would not be able to confirm that. I'd be happy to take a look at photos of your existing spindle to determine if it might work with our handle.
