Outside pation door pull handle.

A home owner from Lutz, florida says:
I am looking for a handle that I can put on an outside sliding patio door to assist in pulling it open. The inside handle screw distance is about 6 5/8". The outside pull handles I saw on your web site have a smaller hole center distance. I believe the type of handle I have is standard on many sliders. Do you have any outside hole handles available that would fit my door?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
They do not actually make a lock with an outside pull with those hole centers. You can mount a patio door pull above or below your lock. You must get some one who is familiar with patio doors, because you could damage the glass when you drill through the door. A good choice of a pull might be the 88-009 in chrome. Please take caution when installing this handle on the outside of the door so you don't drill through the glass.
