Owner lost the patio door keys

Hello,

The owner lost the keys for the sliding door mortise lock. The lock functions perfectly, but need to change the key cylinder to have keys. Could you advise which model I should buy? Do you ship to Vancouver, Canada? If so, how long is the shipment and can I buy locally? Thanks!

Hello,

Take a look at the 82-310 key lock, which is used with the 82-087 handle set. Note that you'll need to cut the spindle down to match the length of the original. Just make sure not to cut it too short or it won't engage with the mortise lock. Review the guides related on this page to assist you. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't seem like I can get the key cylinder out from the housing even unscrew the screw in the back. Could you advise? Or should I get a key cylinder with housing?

Thanks!

We hear about this happening from time to time, normally due to the cylinder being out of square. Unforutnately, there is no trick to removing it. It can require some patience but it should come out once the screw is removed. We also offer the 82-315 key lock with housing but it is not offered in the same metallic finishes as the 82-087
