PADO Latao Replacement

A handy person from TN says:
This is information for you and future customers. I recently purchased two 40-049 locksets to replace 30 year old PADO Latao locks. The replacements worked perfectly, and the screw holes matched the original screw holes exactly. The hardest part was removing some of the original screw that had not been touched in thirty years.

A home owner from Elk Creek VA says:
I will likely be replacing my lock set just as this customer did. The inside and outside face plates are a bit larger than mine, so I'll have to drill new mounting holes. What size drill bit will the new screws require? Thanks for the review.

My question is: Can I order spare plastic spacers/washers that fit against the in and out face plates where the handles meet the face plates? Or can you give me dimensions for locating generic washers locally? I just hate taking something apart until I have replacement/extra high wear items.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Hey there. I believe the size needed is a 1/8" diameter drill bit. However, it's best to start out with a smaller drill bit like a 7/64". Try that first; you want to be careful not to make the hole too large. As for the washers, we don't carry them by themselves, but we do sell the 40-101 that comes with washers.
