Is the Swisco #40-089 a direct replacement for the discontinued no longer
available PADO mortise lock cylinder?

It's not an official replacement. but the 40-089 has been known to work in place of some older PADO brand key locks. That is not a guarantee, however. You should review our dimensions to confirm that they all align with your own.
